In collaboration with AB33 Films and Pink Sphynx Media, we present our film, Sticky Business.
Every year, Jake and Andrew suffer humiliation at the Porridge Making Championships, until one mysterious legend changes everything.
Made for the Doric Film Festival, this short film is a madcap celebration of North-East Scottish heritage which proudly promotes the Doric language and local culture. Special thanks to the Alford Heritage Museum for kindly allowing us to film on location.
This documentary was created to follow the journey of what it takes to become a TEDx Speaker in the city of Aberdeen.
Jump into an overview of each speaker’s journey, the training they went through, what emotions they felt and if they were ready to step on the big red dot.
Take a look, see how they got on!
After working with the Samaritans on a previous project, Unearthing Farming Lives, they asked if I would come back and make a second short film documentary which helps spread awareness about some of the mental health issues faced within the construction industry.
This project was done in partnership with CALA North Homes who work closely with the Samaritans Aberdeen to help provide the best support they can for their staff.
The full film is available to watch here.
Pink Sphynx Media loves to support local communities, so when the Torry Heritage Group asked if I would help them create a short film for the Doric Film Festival, of course, I said yes!
They wanted to create a collaboration between their group and the kids from the local primary school, to tell a story of the history at Walker Road School (1897 – 2023), whilst sticking to the theme: “Fit Wye Nae”.
After attending the film festival we were delighted to win the overall group category.
H&R Insurance was approaching its 50th anniversary in 2022 when the director, Shona, contacted me and said she wanted to do something special to celebrate.
She had organised a large party with friends, family and clients and wanted to surprise them with a short film which documented their business journey and gave them space to reflect on the last 50 years together.
Due to this being a local, family-run business, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
Milltimber experienced a major change in 2022. The beloved primary school from 1970 closed its doors for the final time and made way for the brand-new community school hub.
Milltimber’s Parent Council wanted to create a film that would capture the spirit and memories of the old school as well as the transition and dreams that the new space will bring.
This video will be stored as a snapshot of history for years to come: Milltimber Memories and Dreams.
Unearthing Farming Lives” is a film examining some of the most common causes of mental health problems, as well as their potential solutions, within the farming and wider agricultural community.
We are excited to announce that the full film is available to watch here.
